Community Service Day

Established in 2011, Community Service Day is an annual day of service, open to the entire community, during which volunteers of all ages donate a half-day of their time to work on worthwhile community-based projects. Community Service Day celebrates volunteerism and its contribution to Walnut Creek’s quality of life.

And the results are clear: Since its founding, Community Service Day has produced nearly 50,000 volunteer hours of service for more than 500 individual projects benefitting public schools, libraries, open spaces and creeks, community gardens and parks, wildlife and pets, recreation facilities, the arts, and social services.
